Inaccurate AK47 PISTOL

A guy had a nice Krink pistol that he had taken to the range. A lot of guys were sighting in their deer rifles, as the season was about to start.

SO, for giggles, the guy put a deer target up at 100 yards and had at it. So much for an 'inaccurate AK47 PISTOL' ...

Nice... I've got an AR style pistol (definately not an AR pistol) a keltec PLR-16, it groups just as well, if not slightly tigher.

Now that the hype is over, they run about 450 sticker price at the local gun shows. The one in the pic has 'options', bare the wide forearm is a must and costs about 40-45 bucks, the single point sling is 10-15 bucks. I put a reflex sight on mine as the 'iron' sights are lacking. They also sell a charging handle add on (in the pic) for a 'brass deflector' which is not need and looks silly IMO as well as a special muzzle break, also I don't like it either. Barrel is standard AR threaded so any AR break or flash hider will work. I have a standard bird cage on mine and it handles the insane muzzle flash very nicely.

They come with 1 10 round fit flush mag (which I've never used) and take standard AR mags or beta c mags (never used a beta). It's been 100% with milspec mags and brass cased ammo.

Warning on using steel cased ammo, mine got 2 barnaul zinc coated cases stuck in the chamber (ripped part of the back of the casing off), this was in a cool chamber to boot unlike when my bushmaster did it with a hot chamber.

Lots of fun.

Oh, no special permit, it is classified as a PISTOL. Donno if they are new york legal or not, since they can take 10, 20, 30, 40 or 100 round mags/drums :D

Pistol classification is nice because it legally falls under Indiana's license to carry a handgun. I can't have a loaded rifle in the car... but I can have a loaded PLR!

I was told that the keltechs were junk, I saw them at the gun show and really liked them. May have to check them out again, the price is right!

You do get what you pay for, and FWIW between my wife and I we own 4 keltecs P32, P3AT, P11 and the PLR16. The P11 was a niche gun and honestly I don't care for it, too big for the pocket gun like a p32 or p3at and too small for a service gun. I've never had any problems with them (beyond the first mag's worth of ammo). For example my $250 NIB P11 would never handle the 20,000 round torture test that my springfield XD9 did... but then again the P11is half the price and keltec even says that line of guns is only rated for 3-5k rounds...

The PLR is a great little gun, considering how much the cost of .223 has gone up it'll probably last forever... if the price of .223 was still 10 cents for SA I wouldn't be so sure because it's a FUN gun to shoot!
